hello i,m from Québec Canada and let me tell you that you have a nice panel.Did you print it on paper sheet and glue the whole thing on a plastic board.
I,m trying the build one and that's why i look at different model or idea to start from.
could you tell me where you got your plan and desing to begin your project
Nice job Martin

Hey!
I made frame from wood, printed all panels using ABS. Whole panel is modeled with Sketchup. As an example I used pictures from google image search and compared those to MS Flight sim PMDG737 package. I've watched a lot of youtube videos about 737 simulators, in first place those videos gave me this idea. All sizing information is collected from different forums over internet.

Newest and latest version is about to come soon. There will be a lot of changes to make this panel look more realistic and building instructions.

Hi Martin!

You are great, and many-many-thanks!!!!

If you have, could you please upload also the one STL which contains sub-parts joined?

I would like to ask my local CNC guy about it, to CNC it from polycarbonate.(price, quality, etc)

Thanks!

I just asked, maybe I could help you.

I asked my local CNC guys, I think it is possible to drill it from clean acryl, polycarbonat, plexi...
Then my plan is to spray it (my neighbor is a painter), I think it will be much more smooth then if just it is painted by "hand".

Then, laser-engraving...
For this, I asked the full-joint 3D plan, maybe I can make a 2D layer for making stickers/laser engraving....

I think it is possible to burn the labels, so it would be perfect for backlit.

I can share with you of course my results.

(Other plan: 3D print all with transparent filament... and the same...)

Ciao,
Krisztian

Hey, I am really interested about there results of your work. With sup-parts you mean that all panel parts are connected together as an very big single stl part?

Yes...
But I have got....
As I import, It is positioned in the correct place :)
Sorry, I am newbie in that.

Of course, I will let you know the result.
But it wont be tomorrow.
I mean it is a "slow" project next to my daily life :)

My home 3D printer+LaserEngraver / CNC miller is under construction.
So as soon as I have physical result, I will make a photo, etc. and send.
-----
Also, I work on the electronic part and SW driver with Arduino.
I dont know what you use, but I will let you know also.

I think this is the cheapest and the most unlimited solution, because I can do everything with cheap but high quality controllers.
Of course I have to write my own SW, and reinvent the wheel,
but what I experienced with Goflight, Flightdecksolutions, Etc, is not so good. They work until you want to do some generic things...

So, I will have my own wrapper SW over FSUIPC+Simconnect possibilities to interface between switches, encoders, leds, backlit stuffz, motors, servos...
I am on a good way with thoose.

    App production for Android

    Welcome!

My name is Martin, I'm from Finland. I bought 3D printer in beginning of 2013 and started learning 3D modeling. Suddenly I came a cross with 737 video which looked like video from real 737 cockpit. After that video I decided that I must build one, but money was the problem. Most realistic simulators could cost from 50k to 200k+ and that is way too much for me. So I started to create my own panels and mechanism using 3D modeling software and 3D printer. It's also one goal to get this available for everyone who has interest to this kind of projects.

Download my android apps and games to support my work. Thank you!
